This illustration draws inspiration from "Bulbbul," a 2020 feminist mythological film directed by Anvita Dutt.

 

The film beautifully reimagines the legend of the chudail (witch) with a unique twist, portraying a woman with a mission and a cause rather than a mere antagonist. 

 

The narrative unfolds as a child bride matures into an enigmatic woman who presides over her household while concealing her painful past. To me, the lead character symbolizes the woman she needed to become, a testament to the power of transformation and resilience.
